BACKGROUNDNick has a unique background that combines experience as an army officer, ten years as a successful futures and foreign exchange broker with Merrill Lynch and sixteen years in senior organisational, leadership and people development roles in large global organisations. This extensive commercial experience and customer focus provides a strong link between organisational change and bottom line performance improvement. Nick has been involved in creating and managing large scale organisational change, leadership and people development programmes and performance management processes and systems but his real expertise lies in embedding them in day to day operations. Most organisations have great strategies but fail to deliver them. Nick understands the theory but combines this with a proven ability to deliver and sustain them in highly complex organisations. Nick holds an M.A. from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School. AREAS OF EXPERTISENick is a consulting partner with The RBL Group, where he helps clients to achieve targeted, sustainable performance improvement through the alignment of strategy and organizational capability. He has specialties in building the people capabilities required to deliver strategy, translating strategy into action, performance management and leadership development. He also has significant experience in large scale development interventions including simulations, executive education and rotation programmes, individual and team assessment, executive coaching/mentoring, succession planning, and evaluating and validating these against a business strategy. Nick has over 16 years of experience in internal consulting in a range of industries, including utilities, distribution, financial services, professional services and telecoms. His clients include: National Power, Lex, Prudential, Arthur Andersen and Vodafone. |
