Be a problem solver, not a problem pointer!

Steve has been a web developer at the RBL group since Feb 2009. Steve previously started, managed, and sold a company with two brothers and a friend.  The sale of the company allowed him to focus more on web development.  He enjoys his work because there is a new problem to solve every time he sits down.  He believes in being a “problem solver not a problem pointer” which has allowed him to constantly practice critical thinking and problem solving skills in his everyday life.  Steve likes to come up with at least two possible solutions to every problem before developing a plan of action.

Since Steve joined The RBL Group, his major responsibility has been developing and re-engineering the RBL website.  He has also helped with RBL’s computer based assessments and the RBL Marketplace.  He has also helped create customized engagement websites for RBL clients.

During the summer of 2009, Steve worked as an intern for Accenture in Sacramento, California.  He worked on the CALPERS project helping with the system test portion of the project.  He enjoyed his time at Accenture and learned many important lessons about system development.

Steve will graduate in August 2010 with a Bachelor & Master of Information Systems and a minor in computer science.  He will have completed all of the prerequisites to attend medical school and hopes to be accepted into a program in 2010.

Steve enjoys all sports, but especially basketball and football.  He is a huge fan of the Utah Jazz, BYU football, and BYU basketball.
